Politics and Religion. The two things that people are most ferverent about in their lives ~

I don't know about anyone else, but I felt a serious saddness for Saddam. To be put through what amounts to PUBLIC humiliation. I can say that I would so NOT want to be in his shoes right now. To be shown off, and used as a freaking TROPHY or something ~ I think the US goverment needs to pull its head out of its ass...

While I think that it needs to be assured that Saddam not ever be in any postion of power or influence again, and tried in a court for the shit it appears he has done ~ I would wish that he could have been treated with a bit more respect than he was. Bush is losing more ground with me everyday anyways, and this is just one of the last nails in his coffin...

phooey on it all... and I agree with you hawk ~ Look at the beam in your own eye, before you worry about the splinter in your neighbors!

While I agree that we need to take care of our own before jumping into the problems of other countries, I don't see a problem with Saddam. The man has performed (or ordered to be performed) many atrocious acts. Does that mean the US is in charge of policing other countries? No, I don't believe it does. But, we did (we being the men who run this country, the elected officials) decide to go into this country for whatever reasons. I'm not trying to argue with you, I actually love reasoned debate among friends. So, I hope you don't find my voice of dissention offensive.
I think that Saddam needed to be taken down, and any and all possible humilation that he gets is well deserved. It would be like causing discomfort to Hitler, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Linda, I love ya, and I hope you continue to fight for what you believe in. Even if we don't agree, I still admire the hell out of you for having the guts to stand up for what you feel is right. :)
